Every Exceptional Home Begins With a Conversation.

Designing your home should be one of life’s most rewarding experiences.

For nearly four decades, Kevin Young Designers has guided families through a thoughtful,
collaborative process that transforms ideas into homes designed around the way they live.

By the end of our first meeting, I’m no longer thinking about rooms and square footage.
I’m thinking about how to create a home that will serve your family not just today, but as
your lives grow, change, and evolve through every stage of life.

— Kevin Young

  1. Will the family room have a fireplace?
  2. Should the kitchen connect to the outdoor living area?
  3. How do you entertain?
  4. Where does everyone naturally gather?
  5. What special features have you always wanted?

By the end of our first meeting, I’m no longer thinking about rooms and square footage.
I’m thinking about how to create a home that will serve your family-not just today, but as
your lives grow, change, and evolve through every stage of life.

It Starts with a Conversation, Not a Checklist.

Bringing Ideas to Life

With a clear understanding of your family’s lifestyle, we begin transforming ideas into design.

We will explore:

Floor plan concepts, space function and use, room relationships, traffic flow, natural light, outdoor living, architectural style, and special features unique to your family.

This is where ideas become possibilities and your future home begins taking shape.

Refining Every Detail

Once the overall concept has been established, we begin refining every detail of your home.

We will develoр:

Kitchen design, primary suite, ceiling treatments, outdoor living spaces, window placement, built-ins and custom cabinetry, architectural details, and interior flow and functionality.

Every decision is thoughtfully considered to create a home that is both beautiful and comfortable
to live in.

Preparing for Construction

Once the design is complete, we prepare a comprehensive set of construction documents.

These typically include:

  • Floor Plans
  • Exterior Elevations
  • Roof Plan
  • Electrical Plan
  • Site Plan
  • Foundation Outline
  • Building Sections
  • Cabinet Elevations
  • Construction Details
These drawings become the roadmap your builder will use to bring your vision to life.

Bringing Your Vision to Life

Once your construction plans have been completed, they can be submitted to the appropriate licensed engineering professionals for any engineering required for your project. Your builder will then have the necessary plans and documentation to begin bringing your new home to life.

While construction and engineering are handled by the appropriate professionals, Kevin Young Designers remains available to address design-related questions or provide clarification regarding the original design plans. For any additional design services or modifications, please contact us to discuss your needs.

There’s nothing more rewarding than watching the ideas we first discussed around the conference table become the home your family will enjoy for years to come.

Let's Begin the Conversation.

Whether you’re planning your forever home or a major renovation, we’d love the opportunity to learn about your family, your vision, and the home you imagine.
